National Volunteer Month

National Volunteer Month

April is recognized as National Volunteer Month in the United States. This month is dedicated to recognizing and honoring all of the volunteers in our communities as well as encouraging volunteerism throughout the month. What is volunteerism? Volunteerism is a voluntary act of an individual or group freely giving their time and labor for community service.

Each year, United Way of South Central Oklahoma utilizes hundreds of volunteers. These individuals believe in our mission and are dedicated to improving the health, education, and financial stability in our communities.

All of our volunteers play a vital role in continuing our mission and helping our communities thrive. Volunteering at United Way of South Central Oklahoma comes in many different forms whether it be serving on our Board of Directors or Allocation Committee, volunteering as a Division Leader, or volunteering at one of our many events. Our volunteers are extremely valuable to not only our organization, but to our communities that we serve. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to these individuals this month.

Thank you to all our current, past, and future volunteers!
