2023 was another record breaking year for our 10th Anniversary United Way BBQ Showdown hosted by Valero! Raising $375,000 with 50 teams competing! Thank you to all of our sponsors, vendors, media, volunteers, attendees, and the Valero Ardmore Refinery for such a successful event. Thank you to all who came out and supported us!
For those who were unable to attend, Friday, August 4th was Cajun Night! Attendees got to enjoy a variety of Cajun dishes and dessert from over 40 teams straight from the Gulf. There was a kid’s fun zone with snow cones & face painting, live music featuring Jay-B & the Zydeco Posse and Strongwood, as well as a cornhole tournament! Saturday, August 5th was the BBQ Showdown! Various BBQ dishes including ribs, brisket, and pork butt were served from 50 different teams, the kid’s fun zone, a car show with over 40 cars, and the awards presentation!
