Change Lives - Give Now
Invest in South Central Oklahoma.
When you give to the United Way of South Central Oklahoma, you’re not giving to one program, you’re strengthening 36 partner agencies, 54 local programs, and five counties working together to build a stronger community.
Your gift stays local.
Your impact is immediate.
Your generosity changes lives.
When you give to the United Way of South Central Oklahoma, you’re putting resources directly into action across our five-county community.
Here’s what your generosity makes possible:
$10 provides snacks for 20 children in an after-school program — fueling learning and keeping kids focused.
$20 provides 120 loads of laundry for women and children living in shelter — restoring dignity during difficult times.
$50 provides more than 20 rides for neighbors without transportation — connecting them to doctor’s appointments, jobs, and grocery stores.
$100 provides 91 high-quality, age-appropriate books mailed directly to children ages 0-5 through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library — building early literacy and school readiness from day one.
Every dollar stays local.
Every gift is strategic.
Every contribution changes a story.
Pledge Once. Make an Impact All Year.
At the United Way of South Central Oklahoma, we operate a pledge-based campaign which means you can make a commitment today and fulfill your gift throughout the year.
Instead of a one-time donation, many supporters choose to pledge an annual amount and give through:
Payroll deduction
Monthly bank draft
Quarterly gifts
Or a schedule that works best for you
Pledging makes generosity manageable. A small amount each paycheck adds up to meaningful impact across our five-county community.
For example:
Just $5 per paycheck becomes $130 over the year.
$10 per paycheck becomes $260.
Consistent giving creates consistent support for our 36 partner agencies and 54 programs.
Why pledging matters:
It provides steady, reliable funding for local nonprofits
It allows us to plan strategically and respond quickly to needs
It strengthens programs serving families, seniors, children, and individuals in crisis
It keeps resources working year-round — not just during campaign season
Your pledge isn’t just a promise.
It’s sustained impact.
Our Campaign Season: Mid-September to Mid-November
Each year, United Way of South Central Oklahoma conducts our annual campaign from mid-September through mid-November.
This focused, ten-week window is when businesses, schools, and community partners across our five-county community come together to make their pledges for the coming year.
Why this matters:
It creates momentum and energy around giving.
It allows workplaces to host events, share impact stories, and rally employees.
It ensures we can confidently allocate funding to our 36 partner agencies and 54 programs for the year ahead.
During campaign season, you’ll see:
Workplace presentations and pledge drives
Corporate campaign kickoffs
Community events and impact celebrations
Leadership giving outreach
Stories highlighting how local lives are being changed
While our campaign season is concentrated in the fall, the impact lasts all year long. The pledges made during these weeks fuel programs that support children, families, seniors, and individuals across Carter, Johnston, Love, Marshall, and Murray counties.
For eight weeks, we rally.
For twelve months, we deliver.
That’s how we turn generosity into measurable impact.

Leave a Legacy. Create Lasting Impact.
Planned giving is one of the most powerful ways to ensure your values live on for generations.
By including United Way of South Central Oklahoma in your estate plans, you help secure long-term support for the programs and services that strengthen our five-county community. A planned gift allows you to make a transformational difference, often without impacting your current financial situation.
Planned gifts can include:
- A bequest in your will or trust
- Naming United Way as a beneficiary of a retirement account or life insurance policy
- Charitable gift annuities or other legacy arrangements
- Endowment gifts that provide permanent, ongoing support
These gifts create stability. They allow us to plan for the future, respond to emerging needs, and continue investing in our 36 partner agencies and 54 programs for decades to come.
A legacy gift says:
“I believe in this community.”
“I believe in opportunity for every child.”
“I believe our neighbors deserve support when they need it most.”
You don’t have to be wealthy to leave a legacy. You simply have to care about what happens next.
If you would like to have a confidential conversation about planned giving, we would be honored to visit with you.
